Primary job responsibilities
is seeking a Middleware Sales Professional to grow and develop our JBoss middleware business by working closely with new and emerging customers to promote middleware solutions that meet their unique needs. The ideal candidate should posses a strong combination of customer-facing consulting skills and in-depth technical knowledge in the realm of enterprise middleware.
The primary goals of this position are to:
a) Break into large enterprises with no or very limited JBoss footprint utilizing a consultative solution sales approach.
b) Position and sell consulting services as the key driver for a fast adoption of our technology
c) Cross sell all JBoss offerings after initial success with the first implementation.
Key Responsibilities Include:
•Work closely with the Domain Architects to identify key accounts, assist in the creation of account plans, and execute on those strategic plans.
•Attain "trusted advisor" status with senior IT and business executives within key accounts with the goal of creating a long-term partnership with customers.
•Develop new product strategies within Key Accounts to establish Proof of Concept and Pilot Implementations of Jboss product portfolio.
•Work closely with product business units, product engineering, professional services and product support to ensure a world-class customer experience with products.
The Middleware Sales Professional will have a strong background in delivering complex customer solutions in a rapidly evolving technology domain. The successful candidate will have a minimum of eight years of solution sales experience, with at least four of those years specifically focused on Enterprise Middleware, and a proven track record of working closely with customers to produce solutions that exceed their business expectations.
•8+ years of experience in a Solution Sales role with at least 4 of those years focused on Enterprise Middleware.
•Strong background in consultative customer engagement with either a major provider of Middleware software or within the sales division of a middleware software reseller.
•Broad and deep experience with Enterprise Middleware technologies (e.g. Red Hat JBoss, IBM WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic, etc.)
•Outstanding verbal and written communications skills, including extensive experience presenting to C-level executives at large firms.
•Solutions sales mentality in an environment with multiple products and services.
•Proven ability to work seamlessly with global cross-functional teams to achieve success on behalf of customers.
•Strong balance of strategic and tactical skills, with a high level of intellectual agility and capacity for original thought.
•MBA or equivalent strongly preferred
