Job Summary
The Engagement Manager (EM) is responsible for understanding customer technical and business requirements, creating a services solution that articulates methodology, technical scope and pricing, and driving deal closure. Supports an annual consulting service goal.
Job Requirements
• Builds and influences relationships with sales; tightly linked
• Utilizes sales and account strategies to maximize success
• Fully position and assist in the sale of consulting services to medium/large enterprise class companies, putting large consulting deals together
• Heavily engages with NGS Solutions Desk, Operations, PS Regional Managers & SDT Specialists
• Proactively determines business requirements, understands critical success factors, internal capabilities, timelines, and current infrastructure to successfully position projects/programs
• 75% or more of the Engagement Manager’s time is spent in pre-sales positioning, sizing, scoping and crafting of deals.
• Identifies and closes consulting opportunities
• Works closely with the professional delivery teams to understand and meet customers needs
• Gets buy-in from delivery organization on large consulting proposals
• Creates the compelling value proposition for consulting services tied to a deal
• Accountable for accuracy of sizing and scoping service deals.
• Presents proposals and consulting solutions to customer and sales
• Puts all the pieces of the "consulting service" proposal together utilizing PS Partners and PS delivery organization
• Negotiates, creates statement of work (SOW)/ project plans, drive review process, working with senior management for approval
• Accountable for pricing consulting deals to targeted margins
• Attends account planning sessions to identify and build consulting opportunities and plans
• Understands and able to articulate/sell the entire NGS services portfolio

応募資格 Education and Experience
• Strong ability to interface at Executive level and above.
• Data storage or systems integration/management experience required.
• 4+ years of managing large billable projects for external customers
• Excellent ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
• Technical background sufficient to understand the technologies and technical issues involved with the product
• Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Strong ability to translate very complex storage solutions or strategies into simple to understand clear concepts and objectives for project execution
• Excellent presentation skills required
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university or MBA preferred.
• 7+ years experience in a similar role as a Project Manager or Service Deal Shaper
• Formal Project Management certificating desired e.g. PMI
• Data storage or systems management experience
